Judi Jai Exclusive Interview

I recently had the opportunity to interview the beautiful Judi Jai. As we all know, Judi is a woman whojudy copy wears many hats. It’s been a while since we’ve caught up and Tha Burst wanted all the tea! She’s still been busy developing her brand and rocking it as a businesswoman. Judi Jai let us in on what she’s been up to, as well as things we should be looking out for in the future.

What have you been up to since the last time we spoke?

I’ve been up to a lot! Not only did I do another BGC related project, but I was also on the E! Network representing for reality tv on a show hosted image0 (3)by Andy Cohen. My second movie premiered. It is called “The Stacey Staxx Story” and you can watch it from home at StarCityFlixx.com and I’ve released a lot of Vixen merch from my brand and new music. I also have a segment with PopOut Magazine called #ABiteWithJudi. This is where I let people in on my good eats and foodie stuff! Between all of these things, traveling and hosting events, I’ve been pretty occupied.

We’ve seen you recently on Baddies ATL. How was that experience? Did it remind you of Bad Girls Club at all?

Yes. It is basically BGC. The only reason why the name is different is because Oxygen Network and BUNIM Murray Productions owns the show, and they can sue for likeness of their brand. This was my last BGC related show, and I am focusing solely on my brand and my artistry versus reality tv.

I’ve noticed you are being highlighted more and more as an entrepreneur and businesswoman. You are an author, music artist, actress, have a hot sauce line, and so much more. What would you say is your favorite business/entrepreneur venture and why?

I consider myself a “Jill of all Trades”. I appreciate the acknowledgment of my real talents outside of my character on reality tv. I truly have a passion for food and music and being an all-around creative. I wouldn’t say I have a favorite, but food, music and art all tie in together with me. But my favorite part of my brand is my holiday candles I release yearly.

What does your social life look like? Do you have time to hang out with family and friends much? Are you seeing anyone?

I love being alone contrary to people’s beliefs. Probably because I was raised as an only child. I do see familyimage0 (4) though on the holidays and I do have an active social life when I want to come out and play. We grab drinks, hookah, and play cards. Grown up stuff lol. I don’t really go to the club unless I am booked. If I do though, it’s spontaneous. I really enjoy my solitude though.

Do you currently have any hobbies?

I am a horror film critic. I love to binge watch horror movies, and old movies from the 90s as well. I also like to play basketball when I have time which was a high school staple of mine. I love traveling and trying new foods. Trying new restaurants. I also love to paint and wrote poetry. I plan to get back into pottery as well.

Is it difficult to balance filming for reality tv, being an entrepreneur, and having a social life? What are some strategies you use in order to balance these things?

Not at all. What is hard though is not staying focused on the drama reality tv brings and focusing more on your other crafts. Filming is a headache in itself, but the true headache is the show airing months later, reliving it and the online antics. It’s all about staying focused.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

Myself, to be honest. Also, authenticity. I pride myself on staying in my own lane and standing out from everybody else in a time where everyone is literally being copied and pasted. I blame social media for that.

What advice do you have for anyone wanting to be an entrepreneur?

Just do it. The first step is to START.

Do you have anything new we should know about? Any upcoming ventures we should be looking out for?

image1Unlimited new music. New song “Can’t You Tell” just released so go stream it! Also, I hosted a reunion for Apple TV in December, my very first one, and it will air this year sometime so keep an eye out! My Valentine’s Day bundles will also go on sale soon, so make sure you guys shop! Stay up to date with everything me here: https://linktr.ee/MissJudiJai

What message do you have for your fans?

I love you guys. Thanks for rocking with me for over a decade and I can’t wait to keep showing you guys what I have up my sleeves for y’all away from reality tv! Mwuah! xo
